1. Beautiful views, derelict property

By RuralBear - stayed here from 9th September 2016 to 17th December 2017

The location and exterior look really pretty, and inside you can forgive a certain amount of 'wear and tear' especially when you're told that the handyman and landlord live onsite and take great care of the property and respond to repairs quickly. This turned out to be untrue! They do live onsite but repairs do not actually get done in a timely manner. I've not had a flushing toilet for 13 months, nor a floor in the bathroom, and the electric cooker that the property came with has been broken since moving in and I was told that if I wanted a working one I'd have to replace it myself.

The second smaller bedroom is riddled with damp and mould, to the point where it cannot be cleaned without destroying the sodden wallpaper.

The communal areas are not cleaned or maintained at all.

The property windows are rotted and mouldy to the point where I had to buy new curtains to replace the ones that were now black and falling apart.

Beware, don't do it! Don't get sucked in by the cheap rent or the surrounding views, it's not worth it. Spend a little more money and live somewhere that is actually looked after by the landlord and not just left to decay.
